The staircase constructed in English Oak and birch plywood, with continuous handrail from top to bottom.
This is a modern contemporary double lift staircase with oak treads and risers and double cut strings to both the curved wall and hall well intersected by an oak fan tail boarded landing. The continuous oak hand carved handrail is supported on wrought steel spindles each individually and neatly let into the underside of the handrail. Designed by Ian Adam Smith architects.
This double lift staircase is designed around a long, gentle, sweeping ellipse. This time in paint finish with an elegant, hand carved, polished oak handrail. The off white painted finish keeps the staircase looking crisp and sharp and when looking up the staircase it is further enhanced by the light well in the roof above the staircase.
